Seeking to Fill Position for Ag Lender!

 

Lakota Funds, a Native American community loan fund, based on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, is currently hiring for an Ag Lender. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to promote economic sustainability on the Pine Ridge Reservation and geographic service area, through business loans, technical assistance, and wealth building education for families and businesses.

Our Ag Lender will focus on maintaining and growing our agricultural lending program within our service area, which includes the Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservations. This position will be responsible for providing business planning support services to clients, delivering quality individualized assistance and group trainings, connecting clients to additional resources, and managing the organization's ag loan portfolio. The Ag Lender will manage the intake of loan applications and provide timely loan processing and underwriting while incorporating sound decisions on structure, terms, and conditions to design credit packages that meet client needs while maintaining and improving quality credit standards.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with a solid understanding of the business side and financing requirements of ag operations. Applicants should have the ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives. A Bachelor's degree and at least two years of agricultural lending or related experience is preferred.

Compensation package includes a base salary of $52,000, depending upon experience, as well as 401K, health, dental, and vision coverage.
