Pine Ridge Reservation Welcomes Subway
Lakota Funds first loan clients with franchise lending, Robert Ecoffey and Darlene Nichols-Ecoffey, gave Lakota Funds an opportunity to help bring a Subway to the Pine Ridge Reservation. Robert and his wife Darlene have secured a franchise agreement with Subway Restaurant. Ecoffey’s Subway will be located just south of Oglala Sioux Tribe Building (Tribal Building) in Pine Ridge. Darlene is excited to bring a restaurant to the reservation that will give the area a choice of a healthy alternative to the high fat fast food that is detrimental to our peoples’ health.” Ecoffeys’ Subway will help the reservation with economic development in jobs and a choice in service to receive healthy eating choices.
